My name is Brittney, but most call me Britt. I reside in Beacon, New York with my husband + two little boys. I have a salon in my home - So, when I'm not playing with legos and making ham and cheese pinwheels, I am hard at work doing another one of my loves... hair.
I have been a hairstylist for eleven incredible years. I have worked in a couple of amazing salons with talented artists, who have helped mold me into the stylist I am today. Education is a huge necessity to stay in this industry. I have taken classes at The Redken Exchange on 5th Avenue in NYC. For mastering bridal styling, I have learned from Stephanie Brinckerhoff, Mustafa Avci, Senada K. Ceka, and Babaevski. As time goes on, new trends emerge and its a passion of mine to continue learning.
I wasn't always a bridal stylist. Color was my first love. However, something about upstyling just unleashed more creative juices than anything else I had ever done. I have found that being a bridal stylist requires far more than just the creative piece. It requires organization, commitment, and planning. Not to mention, endurance, patience, and the ability to work under stressful situations, at times. There is a level of customer service that comes with experience, especially when handling large groups with many different personalities. I knew that this career was made for me; it was my calling.
In October 2016, I decided to launch "BW Bridal, LLC." BW Bridal offers on-location wedding hair services to brides, bridal parties, and their families.
There is something that's "warm and fuzzy" feeling about knowing who your vendors are on wedding day. I love getting to know my brides at the trial and traveling along this journey with you. On wedding day, I'll be doing your hair and your bridesmaids hair - it will always be me! I will never hire someone to do your wedding, or over book your wedding day. If I need an extra hand, I have a beautiful group of assistants & freelancers I work closely with to accompany me.
My mission is for each client and/or bride to walk away from me feeling better than they've ever felt. I suppose I've always been that type of person, not just as a stylist. Making someone else feel happy makes you feel happy, and the cycle goes on and on. That's why I ultimately love doing hair - the happiness that results from creating is addicting. There is something truly exhilarating about weddings.. and creating the beauty within the wedding itself.
